Conference Presentation

Conference Presentation (7) EDU 452

Candidates submit a conference presentation to a local (Greenville County Teachers of English), state (South Carolina Council of Teachers of English), or national (National Council of Teachers of English) professional organization. Candidates prepare a multimedia (PowerPoint) presentation, including high quality research properly cited and incorporated. Candidates attend and, if accepted, present at designated conference. Candidates should target proficiencies noted below (see rubric), notably collaborating with another (other) candidate(s) or professor and addressing student needs appropriate for the community being served.

Candidates are prepared to interact knowledgeably with students, families, and colleagues based on social needs and institutional roles, engage in leadership and/or collaborative roles in English Language Arts professional learning communities, and actively develop as professional educators.
Candidates model literate and ethical practices in ELA teaching, and engage in/reflect on a variety of experiences related to ELA.
